Houston vs. Air ForceArmed Forces Bowl December 31st 12:00 ET ESPN
A rematch of last season’s Armed Forces Bowl should be as good as the last time these two teams met. Last season Houston defeated Air Force 34-28 in a thrilling contest. The 10-3 Cougars come into the game with an excellent aerial attack led by Case Keenum. Keenum enters the contest averaging an astonishing 419 passing yards per game. Kennum has thrown 43 touchdowns on the season. WR James Cleveland has hauled in 101 receptions for 1,182 yards and 14 scores on the season. The Falcons are polar opposites of Houston. Air Force will pound the ball and play a slow methodical-defensive ball game. The Falcon defense is much improved from last year and will be geared up for the powerful passing game of the Cougars.
Prediction: Jared Tew and Asher Clark will need big games to help keep Keenum off of the field. The Falcons will control the ball and play very physical with the Cougar receivers and look to put Keenum on the ground. Houston will load up the box on Air Force but will find little success as their defense has struggled all season. Case Keenum will have another stellar performance but it won’t be enough. Air Force 44 Houston 41
