Week 3

The Mountain West’s two top teams were on a national stage, each failed. Utah lost at Oregon and BYU was shellacked at home by Florida State.

Air Force- The Falcons defeated conference foe New Mexico 37-13.

BYU- The Cougars couldn’t match the intensity and athleticism of the Seminoles of Florida State. In a game that could have propelled the Cougars to the National Title game, they fell flat getting demolished 54-28.

Colorado State- The Rams got a big victory against Nevada. They held ballyhooed QB Colin Kaepernick to 251 yards through the air winning 35-20.

New Mexico- The Lobos were no match for the Falcons losing 37-13.

San Diego State- The Aztecs suffered a disappointing loss at the hands of the Vandals of Idaho 34-20.

TCU- The Horned Frogs throttled Texas State 56-21. The Horned Frogs will have a major battle on their hands as they travel to Clemson on the 26 th.

UNLV- Despite giving up 477 yards through the air, The Rebels won a thrilling contest over Hawaii 34-33.

Utah- Every time it appeared the Utes had righted the ship, it sank. QB was ineffective throughout. The Ducks held on for a hard fought victory

Wyoming- The Cowboys were no match for Colorado in Boulder as they were handled 24-0.
