Week 5

Air Force - The Falcons lost a heartbreaker in overtime to Navy. The Falcon defense did a very good job against the vaunted Navy running game holding them to under 4 yards per carry. The Air Force offense was also held in check. The Falcons will face an even greater test on October 10th as they host #10 TCU.

BYU - The Cougars dominated Utah State 35-17. It wasn’t Max Hall’s best performance but he threw three scores in the victory. The Cougars will travel to UNLV on October 10th.

Colorado State - The Rams faced a much improved Idaho team and came up short 31-29. Grant Stucker had a big day throwing for 297 yards and four scores but it wasn’t enough as Idaho counterpart Nathan Enderle threw for 333 yards and three scores. The Rams will have another difficult game as they travel to Utah on October 10th.

New Mexico - The Lobos managed to put up 28 points but fell to 0-5 on the season. Texas Tech put up 21 points in the 3rd quarter and cruised to a 48-28 victory.

San Diego State - The Aztecs throttled New Mexico State 34-17. SDSU freshmen running back Walter Kazee paved the way with 101 yards rushing. The Aztecs will have a week off before facing BYU on October 17th.

TCU - The Horned Frogs dominated SMU 39-14. TCU’s vaunted defense limited SMU to only 9 first downs and 224 net yards. TCU will travel to Air Force on October 10th.

UNLV - The Rebels were no match for the Wolf Pack, who finally looked like the team many expected. UNLV was lambasted by Nevada 63-28. The Rebels travel to BYU on October 10th.

Utah - The Utes have a bye week after defeating Louisville. Utah will return to action on October 10th at Colorado State.

Wyoming - The Cowboys pulled off a road victory at Florida Atlantic 30-28. The victory improved their record to 3-2 on the season. Freshmen QB Austyn Carta-Samuels was solid throwing for 223 yards but did have an interception. The Cowboys host New Mexico on October 10th.
