Mountain West Preview

Week 6

Air Force- The Falcons host #10 TCU on October 10th. The Horned Frogs have one of the best defensive units in all of college football. Air Force is 3-2 with close road losses at Minnesota and a overtime heartbreaker last week at Navy. Air Force will keep it close but TCU’s defense will be too much. Prediction TCU 21 Air Force 13

BYU- The Cougars will continue to march through the Mountain West as they face UNLV. Max Hall and the BYU offense will have no trouble putting up points against the Rebels. Prediction BYU 51 UNLV 27

Colorado State- The Rams travel to preseason conference favorite Utah on October 10th. The Rams are a competitive team but will find it very difficult keeping the score close in Utah. Utah 43 Colorado State 24

New Mexico- The Lobos are still looking for their first victory of the season. The misery won’t stop here as they fall to 0-6 at Wyoming. Prediction Wyoming 39 New Mexico 23

San Diego State- Bye week before a title with BYU on October 17th.

TCU- The Horned Frogs continue their ascent up the polls with their eyes set on the Mountain West crown. Their path won’t be blocked at Air Force although the battle will be tough. Prediction TCU 21 Air Force 13

UNLV- The good news is the Rebels won't give up 63 points this week as they did to rival Nevada last week. The bad news is BYU’s offense is equally potent. The Rebels get shellacked for the second straight week. BYU 51 UNLV 27

Utah- The Utes travel to Colorado State on October 10th. This will be a test for Utah coming off of the bye week. In the end, their offense will be too much for the Rams. Prediction Utah 42 Colorado State 24

Wyoming- The 3-2 Cowboys host New Mexico on October 10th. The Lobos has yet to win a game. Freshmen QB Austyn Carta-Samuels will have a big game as Wyoming cruises to an easy victory. Wyoming 39 New Mexico 23
