The Mountain West brings Boise State into its mixConference features ten teams with addition of Broncos
It has now become even stronger with the addition of Boise State University. The Broncos are best known for their football program, which has dominated the WAC during its time there. Seven WAC titles and two Fiesta Bowl championships have been captured by Boise State over the last decade.
The MWC was already knocking on the door of the BCS and will know have three members that have played in its bowl games. Boise State defeated Texas Christian in last season’s Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona. The Broncos also surprised the Oklahoma Sooners in the game following the 2006 season. Utah is the other league member that’s played in BCS games. The Utes won soundly over Pitt in the Fiesta Bowl after the 2004 season before dismantling Nick Saban and Alabama after the 2008 campaign. Boise State will begin competition in the conference during the fall of 2011.
