Air Force Falcons vs Wyoming Cowboys Basketball Recap

The Air Force Falcons dispatched the Wyoming Cowboys in Mountain West Conference play at Clune Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Saturday afternoon.  The Falcons halted a three-game losing streak to win their second MWC game of the year and are now 2-3 on the season.  Wyoming continues its struggles, as it fell to just 1-4 in conference play in a season that’s headed nowhere other than downhill.

The Falcons were tremendous from beyond the arc, hitting on 11-of-19 attempts on the afternoon.  Tom Fow scored 14 points, Todd Fletcher added 13, and Evan Washington contributed 11 points and 9 assists.  Head coach Jeff Reynold's squad jumped out to a quick start, stretching its halftime lead to 13 points on the back of Michael Lyons 17 first half points.

Wyoming shot just 37 percent from the field and was 4-of-23 from the three-point line.  Head coach Heath Schoyler's has not won on the road this season.  Usually stout wing Desmar Jackson stuggled from the field, hitting on just 4-of-12 from the field and 1-of-6 from beyond the arc.  The Cowboys cut the Falcon lead to as little as 9 late in the second half but could not get any closer.  Amath M'Baye led Wyoming with 13 points.
