Colorado State Rams vs TCU Horned Frogs Basketball Recap

The Colorado State Rams defeated the Texas Christian Horned Frogs for their second Mountain West Conference victory of the season at Moby Arena in Fort Collins Colorado on Saturday evening.  Stalwart forward Andy Ogide, who is may finally be finding his groove during the opening salvos of conference play, scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Rams to victory.  Head coach Tim Miles's Rams shot a scorching 60 percent from the field.

TCU played well enough to score a road victory but simply couldn't find enough to put itself over the edge.  Amric Fields had 19 points and 5 rebounds, while Ronnie Moss had 17 points.  Hank Thomas had 13 points and 9 assists for head coach Jim Christian's squad.  The Frogs kept the contest tight for nearly the entire game, cutting the Colorado State lead to as a little as 5, but could not get any closer.

Beyond Ogide's individual performance the Rams were also aided by Travis Franklin, who scored 14 points.  Dorian Green and Jesse Carr also scored 10 points each.  Colorado State, who has now won 8 of its last 10 games, entered 13 players into Saturday's contest.  The Rams now travel to Las Vegas to take on UNLV.
