Horned Frogs will host NCAA regional for third straight season

TCU will begin its road to Omaha at Lupton Stadium

For the third consecutive season, No. 6 TCU (42-17) will have the luxury of beginning their quest to reach Omaha in the friendly confines of Lupton Stadium after being tabbed as one of 16 host sites for next weekend's regionals.

The Horned Frogs, who continued their dominance of the Mountain West Conference this season, are making their eighth straight appearance in the tournament and hope to reach Omaha for a second season in a row.

Jim Schlossnagle and TCU will find out Monday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. (EST) who will be traveling to Fort Worth this weekend, as the 64-team field will be unveiled on ESPN's "Road To Omaha" Selection special.

The four-team, double-elimination tournament will begin on Friday, June 3 and conclude on Monday, June 6.

The Atlantic Coast Conference claimed five host sites ( Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Virginia) while the PAC-10 ( Arizona State, Oregon State and UCLA) and SEC ( Florida, South Carolina and Vanderbilt) received three each.  Rivals Texas and Texas A&M are the only teams hosting from the Big 12.  Perennial powers Cal State Fullerton of the Big West and Rice of Conference USA are also hosting.
